FAQs

Find answers to some of the most common questions

Shared self-consumption consists of an agreement between consumers to distribute the energy consumption of one or more generating installations.

They must comply with the following:

  • All participating associated consumers must belong to the same self-consumption scheme (with or without surplus).

  • Sign an agreement for the distribution of energy from the installation, agreed between the consumers.

  • Individually notify the distribution company – either directly or through the supplier – of the same energy distribution agreement from the generating installation(s), signed by all participants.

These distribution coefficients establish what percentage of the generating installation’s energy is allocated to each consumer on an hourly basis and can be modified every 4 months.

Yes, it is profitable to share a photovoltaic installation, as by joining forces between several consumers:

  • The investment is lower since the cost is shared.

  • Greater economic savings and faster payback of the installation are achieved.

  • Collective use of clean energy and a reduction in the carbon footprint.

  • A self-consumption community provides more facilities, resources and greater space available for the installation.

The first requirement for installing a photovoltaic system in a residents’ community is that at least 33% of the residents, or one third, agree and that they represent 33% of the participation shares.

In addition, they must meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • The generating installations associated with the consumers must be connected through direct lines to the consumers’ internal network.

  • The participants must be connected to the same transformer substation.

  • The maximum distance between the generating installation and each participant must be 500 m, measured in orthogonal ground projection.

  • The consumers must be located within the same cadastral reference according to the first 14 digits.

These subsidies are mostly municipal and are approved annually, which means they may change from one year to the next, covering between 50% and 100% of the investment.

The following can benefit from this type of installation:

  • Residents’ communities:

    • For the consumption of their own homes.

    • For the consumption of common areas.

  • Residential areas: A collective self-consumption system can be installed in residential areas where two single-family homes are within a maximum distance of 500 metres, meet the requirements and have a signed energy-sharing agreement.

  • Industrial estates: For these, it can also be highly beneficial to jointly install solar panels among several companies.

  • Companies located in the same office building

Yes. Our experience speaks for itself: Adymus takes care of everything and guarantees the granting of the tax reduction.

No. The solar plant generates energy during the day and, although services such as a virtual battery can be contracted, it is essential and advisable to remain connected to the electricity grid.

Yes. Adymus offers its own financing service, designed so that you don’t have to pay a single euro upfront, thanks to a grace period system that allows you to make the first payment when we estimate the community will receive the first IBI tax reduction.
